How It Started
Host House began when founder Robin Sevrina Olson renovated her Lake Tahoe A-frame cabin into a vacation rental and quickly realized through the process there was no single resource for furnishing and stocking a home from scratch. Every product had to be sourced individually. Every decision felt like guesswork.
So she built the resource she wished had existed, first as a curated home shop in Carmel-by-the-Sea, and now as a full-service design studio specializing in vacation rentals, second homes, and investment properties. Twenty-five years of retail brand marketing and design experience, distilled into a guided process that takes you from empty property to guest-ready home.

Interior Design - Full Home Furnishing
End-to-end design for your vacation rental or second home: layouts, furniture sourcing, procurement, delivery coordination, installation, and final styling. We design spaces for both beauty and durability, that photograph well and hold up to guest use.
Home Stocking - Everyday Essentials
Everything your home needs to feel ready from day one: kitchenware, barware, dinnerware, bed linens, bath towels, and finishing touches throughout. Thoughtfully curated, not bulk-ordered. The same brands and products we’ve carried in our Carmel shop for years.
Concierge Services - Ongoing Support
Seasonal refreshes and holiday decorating, restocking essential linens and kitchenware, and private in-home event coordination. We’re here long after the furniture is placed.
